Since 2003, Westcan Mechanical Sales’ team has been serving the kitchen & bath and plumbing & heating industries throughout much of Canada. They are known for offering a variety of decorative and luxury plumbing products. Including SJE Rhombus, they represent other partners such as Bocchi, Gerber, Pro-Flex and Navien. Hurricane Helene caused devastating damage as it traveled up the east coast affecting six states. Since the disaster, SJE has been meeting regularly tocoordinate relief efforts. SJE has been amazed by the generosity of our team, the Detroit Lakes community, and our partners from around the country. As our hearts go out to those affected by this disaster, we also want to deeply thank all of those who have contributed to this initiative. Thank you to the Boys and Girls Club, Tuffy’s, KLN Family Brands, and InLine Motion for bringing their donations to the SJE facility in Detroit Lakes, so that we may provide thisaid more efficiently. Furthermore, thank you to TLG Trucking and Signature Freight Support for their generosity, which allows us to deliver this valuable aid. Finally, we want to recognize the entire Detroit Lakes community, thank you for personally taking time to stop by our facility and drop off relief items. Every contribution can have a significant impact. Many items have been collected at our facility and a large shipment will be sent out on Friday October 4th. We have been impressed with the diversity of items, which reflects the charitable spirit of our community. The items donated include baby food, dog food, diapers, hygiene products, paper plates, canned food, and water. Four of the pallets just contain water alone! We want to thank our partners with DSI and OnSite who have helped coordinate so that once the aid arrives in the disaster zone, they willdeliver it to those in need. SJE is excited to announce that Matt Murray has joined SJE as Vice President of Sales – CLT Division as of Monday, July 15, 2024. Murray replaces former VP of Sales, Richard Rankka, following his recent retirement. Murray will lead the sales strategy, product management and marketing for the Controls & Level-Sensing Technologies division of SJE.  In his role, he will develop and manage relationships with channel partners, drive sales, revenue and market share, with an emphasis on adjacent markets. Murray brings with him an impressive background including over 18 years of experience in various leadership and sales roles, including positions as director of sales, global strategic account manager, and senior business unit manager. He has worked in the pump manufacturing and distribution industry his entire professional career with a strong commercial and technical background from both an OEM and distribution perspective. Most recently, Matt was the Senior Business Unit Manager – Industrial Distribution at Franklin Electric, a water and energy company located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Prior to that he spent seven years with ITT Goulds Pumps in several roles with his last being Global Strategic Account Manager.   Matt is originally from Oregon and earned his C.E.P.E. in Business Management from Portland State. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, fishing, and gardening.

SJE is excited to announce that Ana Bashi will join SJE as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) starting on Monday, October 30, 2023. Bashi replaces Interim CFO Michael Smith, who will assist with her transition. Bashi brings with her an impressive background with over 18 years of experience in various leadership and financial roles, including positions as controller, executive finance director, vice president of finance and CFO. She has worked in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, motorsport aftermarket, food, water and wastewater. Most recently, Ana was the CFO at Newterra, a manufacturing company located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to that she spent three years as a CFO with Airtech Group. Ana is originally from Albania and immigrated to the United States with her family during her adolescence. Ana holds an MBA from the Vienna Austria University of Economics and Business and her International MBA from University of South Carolina Moore School of Business.

SJE is excited to announce that Bjorn Haldorsen has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer.  Haldorsen joined SJE in May 2022 as President of the Engineered Division.  Mike Sutter, the current Chief Executive Officer, will transition to the SJE Board of Directors. Haldorsen has had a successful business management career, with leadership roles in manufacturing companies and across diverse industries, technologies and routes to market. Prior to joining SJE, Haldorsen held the position of President of North America at Colson Group. He headed their North American business operations, with a focus on growth and strategic initiatives to best service the marketplace. He spent 18 years at Flowserve Corporation and served in various regional and global leadership roles that culminated in the role of Vice President and General Manager for the Industrial Pump  Operations.  Haldorsen also spent 8 years at Honeywell International.  His background brings valuable experience to his new role at SJE. “Since joining SJE, I have had the opportunity to work with a lot of talented, hard-working team members and look forward to growing SJE to new levels of performance.”  Haldorsen said. “I knew when I joined SJE it was a great company, and I am honored to become CEO.” Haldorsen received his bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Logistics Management from Arizona State University and his M.B.A. in International Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
